Home Examination And Promotion Rules 

 

·        The final assessment of a pupil at the end of the Academic session shall be based on  the achievement of a student in the Unit Tests, Cumulative Test , Session Ending Examination, Regular Home and Class work and Projects / Practical under taken by him / her throughout the year. 

 

·        The distribution of marks of each subjects will be as under .

                                     

                   Project / practical                      10 marks

                   Home Assignment                     10 marks

                   Unit Test                                  20 marks

                   Cumulative Test                        20 marks

                   Session Ending Examination      40 marks

·        In classes I to V , the Session Ending Examination will be replaced by an Informal test . The test need not necessarily be written test. They may be programmed to include oral test or other forms of test to assess the ability of the pupil.

 

·        In class VI to VIII to pass the examination, in academic subject  viz. Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies a child would be required to secure 35% marks in each subject as well as in aggregate. In class IX  a pupil should obtain not less than 35% marks in each academic subject and an aggregate of 40 % of promotion.

 

·        In class VI to VIII a Candidate failing in one or two subjects may be granted promotion provided he / she has secured at least 30% marks in each of the subjects he / she failed but maintain the aggregate 35%.

 

·        In class IX  a candidate securing an aggregate of  40%  but failing in one / two subjects by not more than 5 marks will be eligible to take supplementary examination in those subjects. The candidate will be promoted to the next higher class  only if he / she secures at least 35% each of these subjects in the supplementary examination .

 

·        A child in order to be declared promoted to the next higher class has to pass separately in the continuous assessment and in the session ending examination securing  at least  33%.

 

·        If a pupil fail in a class, he / she fails for 2 years consecutively in the same class , he / she will be allowed to continue for the third year, he / she has to leave the school.

 

 

Withdrawal  :  At least three days notice in writing on the prescribed form is to be given duly signed by parent / Guardian before withdrawing a student from the school.
